How does it work?
Antimicrobial Odor Control
Smart science equals smart fabrics. Anti∙bac-T is a silver-based antimicrobial. It is powered by silver ions, which control the growth of odor causing bacteria and therefore keeps the material smelling fresh. The technology does not utilize heavy metals, rather it utilizes silver ions. The silver ions are encased in a ceramic cage and are only released when they come in contact with moisture.

Antimicrobial Plus Odor Adsorption = Anti∙bac-T. Materials made with this fabric helps keep odors contained in the fabric. This technology works wet or dry and adsorbs odor for the life of the material and doesn't need to be dried or recharged. Plus, it's more breathable, more flexible and less bulky.

Safety & The Environment
The silver ion technology used in Anti∙bac-T is currently being used in FDA approved medical devices, which have been deemed safe for human use. Milliken has also conducted its own environmental wash study to understand if Anti∙bac-T releases silver into the environment during home laundering. These tests show that when Anti∙bac-T is laundered at home it does not pose a significant threat to the environment.
An Anti∙bac-T product that weighs 1 lb (about the weight of a typical t-shirt) would contain 3 millionths of an ounce of silver. People are exposed to much higher amounts of silver when wearing silver jewelry or using silverware.
